BMW series 1 new facelift

The second generation BMW 1 Series has now received a new facelift.



Premium hatchback finally came in “fashionable” brand identity in terms of its appearance.

This is the first 1-Series facelift that comes with three piston engines 1.5 liter petrol and diesel.



The new BMW 1 Series hatchback will make its appearance in Geneva.

The car will be put on sale later this year and will be available with a range of petrol and diesel, but also some new engines this series.



First, changes are on the exterior aesthetics. The headlights have been redesigned and now having a rectangular lower, continuing grille and bumper with new design.

In the standard version, Series 1 has LED daytime running lights, while full-LED headlights are optional.



At the rear, the taillights were replaced with two separate blocks consist of L-shaped, already enshrined in the latest BMW models.

Regarding the side, only lovers can see subtle changes and new alloy wheel designs.

Inside, the new 1 Series has upholstery new redesigned center console with controls for climate and reposition audio system, and ornaments finished in black or aluminum.



Optional items bearing the signature there Motorsport Division, and a leather steering wheel.

This time, the Germans were thought to be more generous and offers in base automatic climate, rain sensor and a system with iDrive BMW Professional radio and Stop & Go system.

Moreover, all the basic version is available Parking Assistant system which helps you to make unemotional side parking.



But the most important changes have taken place under the hood.

The novelty which boasts the new 2015 BMW 1 Series 3-piston propeller 1.5-liter turbo that provides 116 hp diesel version and 109 hp gasoline version, called the 116d models and 116i.

Besides these engines are available 118d versions with 2-liter engine that has 150 hp, 190 hp 120d, 125d with 224 hp, 136 hp 118i, 120i 125i 177 hp and 218 hp.

Top of the range is, as expected, M135i version with a 3-liter turbo petrol engine offering 326 hp, 7 hp more than the old model.



This powerful copy manages to accelerate to 100 km / h in 5.1 seconds with the manual transmission version and 4.9 seconds using 8-speed automatic transmission.

The record of 4.7 seconds with automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system xDrive.

The latter is only provided for vehicles with automatic transmission. The new BMW 1 Series will be on sale later this year, but not before to make their official debut in Geneva this spring.
